The 2011 Leather and Recycled Leather slip cover collection has arrived. Choose from supple natural hide, silky smooth recycled leather, back by popular demand soft as butter nubuck or faux leather for desk or mini diaries (Dodo Pad and Acad-Pad)

Lord Dodo has, once again, come up with a superlative selection of Italian leather slipcovers of the highest quality, offering a handsome way of secreting the Dodo Pad’s brightness and unbridled humour for the workplace and meetings of significance or great import. (He also acknowledges that you may simply wish to protect your diary with a luxurious outer casing that should last for years and years).

Such was the enormous success of the initial unexpected foray into leather goods, that now, each year, a new collection is developed. These beautiful limited edition handmade Italian leather slipcovers are available for the Mini Dodo Pad and Mini Acad-Pad diary as well as the larger desk diary size.

Our Faux Leather range has been developed with those who prefer not to buy/use real leather. Faux leather is not really leather at all; it looks and feels like a very smooth hide, but is produced from man-made fibres. Each slipcover has a watermarked lining and is finished with the same quality stitching and elastic bandeau as we use on the leather varieties.

All are blind embossed with a subtle Dodo-Pad logo on the front cover and an elastic bandeau closure. Choose from seven natural hide, five recycled nubuck, four smooth recycled leather and four faux leather colours.

There are just a few available in each colour/style so, if you are interested, please order soon to avoid disappointment as when they’re gone, they’re gone!

Please note Our slip covers will fit the spiral bound desk diaries (Dodo Pad and Acad-Pad) and the Mini Dodo Pad or the Mini Acad-Pad pocket diaries. They are not suitable for the DodoPAX loose-leaf insert diary nor the Filofax compatible diary insert refills - for these choose our new PersonalPOD.

Recycled Leather*

* Recycled leather, (sometimes called bonded leather) is off-cuts of leather processed and bonded into flat sheets to enable remanufacturing. This saves destroying leather 'waste' which is an environmentally unfriendly process.

* Nubuck is a type of leather with a soft, velvety surface and is some of the most expensive leather to purchase. We chose this recycled version because, unlike suede, nubuck is far more durable.

We are pleased to report that our recycled Capri ‘nubuck finish’ leather is highly stain resistant, having been personally tested by Lord Dodo with both oily salad dressing and yoghurt(!), both of which just wiped away with a damp cloth and the leather dried leaving no trace whatsoever.

Ideally try not to, but if you do spill liquid on your nubuck finish leather slipcover, please try to soak up the spill as quickly as possible as old stains may be more difficult to remove.

Faux Leather Slipcover Colour Selection

An economical alternative to our very successful and much loved leather slipcovers and perfect for vegans and those who prefer not to use/buy leather products.

Four gorgeous colours in large (for the Dodo Pad and Acad-Pad desk diaries) and small (for the mini versions of both). Apple Green (think of the greenest Granny Smith apple), Iridescent Lilac (very slightly sparkly), Aqua Blue (actually very similar to the natural hide Petrol Blue colour) & Intense Red (think Scarlet!).

Please note: Lord Dodo has procured limited quantities in each colour of these fabulous slip covers - when they're gone they're gone!

PLEASE NOTE: Look after your faux leather slipcover and do not place hot cups of tea or coffee on it! Man made finishes do not take kindly to extreme levels of heat and will, like any material, show signs of wear if not taken care of.
