Recycled leather, (sometimes called bonded leather) is off-cuts of leather processed and bonded into flat sheets to enable remanufacturing. This saves destroying leather 'waste' which is an environmentally unfriendly process.
Nubuck Recycled Leather
Nubuck is a type of leather with a soft, velvety surface and is some of the most expensive leather to purchase. We chose this recycled version because, unlike suede, nubuck is far more durable. We are pleased to report that our recycled Capri ‘nubuck finish’ leather is highly stain resistant, having been personally tested by Lord Dodo with both oily salad dressing and yoghurt(!), both of which just wiped away with a damp cloth and the leather dried leaving no trace whatsoever. Ideally try not to, but if you do spill liquid on your nubuck finish leather slipcover, please try to soak up the spill as quickly as possible as old stains may be more difficult to remove. |
